About Baroque Blooms
Baroque Blooms is a fine art floral studio and organic (non-certified) garden rooted in Ottawa, Ontario, with a growing presence in Otter Lake, Quebec. Our work is inspired by the baroque—an era of richness, drama, and ornate beauty—and by the garden itself, where every bloom carries a story of season, soil, and care.
We specialize in heirloom and rare flower varieties, grown from seed, bulb, corm, or tuber using sustainable, no-till practices. From spring through fall, most of the flowers we arrange are cultivated in our own cutting gardens. In the off-season, we forage and source ingredients as thoughtfully and locally as possible, always with an eye toward ecological responsibility and expressive design.
Baroque Blooms is led by Marley Lewington, a florist, gardener, and lifelong lover of flowers. With a background in communications and graphic design, Marley brings a visual sensitivity and storytelling instinct to every arrangement. She grew up in the garden, learning the rhythms of planting and harvesting from an early age—and has been obsessed with everything floral ever since. Her work is guided by a belief in beauty that’s layered, seasonal, and deeply personal.

Our Philosophy
Every arrangement we create is a study in care, character, and cultivated beauty. We believe that each seed sown and every stem selected—whether grown in our garden or sourced with intention—deserves to be handled with respect and artistry. We’re drawn to the irregular, the timeworn, the varieties that carry history in their petals. These are the flowers that speak.
Our work is shaped by the seasons and what the land offers. Rather than chasing abundance for its own sake, we ask: how can we do more with less? How can we honour the materials at hand? This philosophy guides everything we do—from the flowers we grow to the way we design.
At Baroque Blooms, floral design is more than decoration. It’s a gesture, a mood, a way of seeing. We hope our flowers invite you to slow down, look closer, and feel something lasting.
